Aquatics Federation of Turkmenistan
The Aquatics Federation of Turkmenistan was first registered with the Ministry of Justice of Turkmenistan on March 18, 1994, and in 1997 it became a member of the World Aquatics.
The federation includes sports such as swimming, water polo, diving, synchronized swimming, and open water swimming.
Currently, swimming, water polo, and diving are popular sports in our country.
Swimming
For the first time in our country, an international swimming tournament was held in 2007 at the Turkmenbashi Olympic Aquatic Complex in Ashgabat.
Water polo
In 2024, our national team participated for the first time in the Central Asian Championship held in Namangan, Republic of Uzbekistan, and won 3rd place and a bronze medal.
Diving
This sport is one of the new sports in our country. In recent years, with the increase in the number of modern diving facilities, more and more people are interested in this sport.
